From Dec. 4 through Dec. 20, 2026, Royal Oak Holiday favorites will return including Holiday Markets, the Cookie Crawl, Toy Drive, Visits with Santa & the Grinch, Ice-skating at The Rink, Horse & Wagon Rides, Ice Sculptures, and more!

Nov. 20th: Lighting of the Park!
December 5th from 12-4pm experience the ultimate sugar-laden adventure as you visit Downtown Royal Oak businesses to collect 20 locally-sourced, handcrafted cookies!
All New: Don’t Miss the Kroger Bakery Cookie Decorating Station at the Rock & Brews Cookie Stop, where you can decorate your cookies!
Enjoy ice-skating at The Rink, Visits with Santa, food trucks, live music and more, culminating with the lighting of Centennial Commons, including the Giant Oak Tree!
The Lighting of the Park Ceremony will take place on the steps of the Royal Oak Public Library and features live music from local musicians and school groups, a surprise visit from Santa, skating performances, and the annual Beacon of Light Awards.

Visit our newest attraction - the Royal Oak Holiday Tree Garden, taking place in Royal Oak’s new 5th Street Plaza from December 5th-28th
Twenty 10’ tall trees will be decorated by community partners and will
raise more than $20,000 for these organizations during the holiday season.
